As we step into 2025, it’s the perfect time for embracing change. To reflect on the past year and set intentions for the future. January marks a fresh start—a chance to go inward, reflect, and decide how we want to shape our lives moving forward. Today, I want to share what I’m carrying with me into 2025, in the hope it will inspire you to:
- Focus on what truly matters this year (without the pressure of resolutions).
- Challenge preconceived notions about thyroid healing.
- Let go of what no longer serves you.
What’s out and what’s in for 2025...
OUT: Unrealistic New Year’s Resolutions
In 2025, I’m leaving behind the pressure of unrealistic resolutions driven by external expectations. Trying to transform into a new person overnight, changing too much at once without a clear plan or support, is a recipe for burnout.
IN: Values-Rooted Intentions
Instead, I’m embracing values-rooted intentions and mindful, gradual changes. By identifying my core values and using them as a compass, I’m focusing on building a life that aligns with my vision. If you’ve struggled with sticking to resolutions, know that there’s a better way. I’ll be sharing more about this in the coming weeks!
OUT: All or Nothing Mentality
Self-sabotaging perfectionism and an all-or-nothing mindset are being left behind. Fluctuating between strict adherence to a plan and giving up at the first hiccup isn’t sustainable.
IN: Progress Over Perfection
This year, I’m fully embracing the mantra: “I don’t need to be perfect to heal.” Progress, not perfection, is the goal.
OUT: Fear of Food
Strict eliminations with no end in sight and seeing food solely as fuel are no longer serving me.
IN: Nourishment and Pleasure
In honour of embracing change, I’m focusing on eating in a way that supports my body, with inclusion-based nutrition and tailored, time-limited healing protocols. Food is nourishment, but it’s also a source of pleasure.
OUT: Thyroid Healing Diets and Meal Plans
Rigid diets and meal plans are a thing of the past.
IN: Foundational Habits and Self-Regulation
This year is all about building a strong foundation of simple daily habits, reconnecting with my body, and learning how to self-regulate. Harnessing the power of nature, sunlight, and circadian biology, while digging deeper to find root causes, is the way forward. (For foundational work, check out Thyroid Fundamentals. OUT: Going It Alone
Navigating this journey without support can leave you feeling lost and overwhelmed.

Surrounding myself with a community of like-minded women who understand this journey is invaluable. Asking for help is a sign of strength, not failure.
OUT: Neglecting Self-Care
Putting everyone and everything ahead of your needs is unsustainable.
IN: Valuing Yourself
In 2025, I’m prioritising my health and setting rock-solid boundaries. The mantra: “I will disappoint others before I disappoint myself,” guides my decisions.
OUT: Relying Solely on Doctors
Waiting for doctors to fix everything isn’t the answer.
IN: Empowered Self-Advocacy
This year, I’m taking radical responsibility for my health, educating myself, and advocating for my needs. Much of the healing journey is within my control.
OUT: The “I Am Sick” Identity
Clinging to an identity of illness can hold you back.
IN: Empowering Beliefs
Believing in your body’s capacity for self-repair is the first step toward healing. Your thoughts shape your reality, and every cell in your body listens to help you with embracing change.
